1st Disney Trip

Nate, Amy, Alexa, and Alainey came to visit on January 8th. We made our 1st trip to Disney with them on the 9th. It was a very nice day and it really could not have gone better. We figured out how to use our time and fast passes wisely and got to meet the Princesses and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

****NOTE WORTHY... all 3 girls loved any and all rides they rode, but they especially loved the ROLLER COASTERS!!! Mia was even big enough to ride SPACE MOUNTAIN (and she loved it)! Dare devils, I tell ya!****

Amy brought umbrellas for the girls and the princesses autographed them!

Dax was quite the little gentleman when it was our turn to meet the princesses. He got a kiss from Cinderella and he gave Cinderella and Princess Aurora "loves". When he isn't being our 2 foot terror(as Aaron calls him), he is very cuddly and sweet!

Dax on the Dumbo ride with Daddy!

Alainey and Daxton cooperated and took naps during our day at the Magic Kingdom, so we decided to push our luck and went to Seaworld on Saturday. We hit 3 shows and rode a few rides, saw the Clydesdale horses and did some beer sampling! The beer sampling definitely gave Seaworld an edge over Disney (for Aaron anyway!!)

THIS IS THE GIRLS ON THE SHAMU EXPRESS. While they went on bigger roller coasters at Disney this was their favorite at Seaworld!

Crab ride...no mom necessary on this one...THANK GOODNESS! Just watching the up-down up-down motion of this one was enough to make me feel sick!

After surviving 2 parks we headed for PSL and did the beach with the Swerczeks on Sunday and even managed an adult only dinner on Sunday night. We enjoyed our visitors and the girls were sad when they came home from school on Wednesday and found that Alexa was on her way back to NE.

Christmas 2008

The girls got out of school on the 19th and we stayed in Florida through the 23rd. Santa visited us on the night of the 19th and the girls were surprised that there were presents under the tree a few days before Christmas. Santa left a note explaining the reason for coming early and it gave the girls some new toys to play with while I packed for our trip to NE. Aaron and I were thankful that Santa was thinking of our pocket books and we didn't have to worry about shipping gifts back to FL! ;o)

We flew back to NE on the 23rd and returned on the 31st. It was a busy, but nice trip and we enjoyed getting together with our families. We didn't get to see everyone that we hoped we would as the kids and I managed to pick up a stomach virus the last couple of days we were there. Sorry Piper and Blake, Jayden and Gavin, Sandi and Ev, and Great Grandma Leona we promise we will do better next time!

Crazy November

November was crazy for us, we had 3 sets of visitors down from NE in less than three weeks! The kids thought it was great, but our schedule was off and that always makes mom (me) a little NUTS! We made three trips to the beach and showed our visitors around the PBG area and the PSL area.

****NOTE WORTHY... Mia got to share two major milestones with our November visitors!

1) She learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels while Grandma Ann was here. Only took her about 10 minutes and she was riding around the cul-de-sac and up and down the street.

2) She lost her 1st tooth while Grandma Sally was here!! (Yes, the Tooth Fairy left her $5 for this tooth. It was her 1st tooth and it was special, so shhh!)

Ms. Brown was looking for a mystery reader the week Grandma Sally was here, so she got to read a book to Mia's class while she was here and she ate lunch with Mia that day too. Mia was on cloud 9!
We waited to have Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday when Grandpa Rick and Grandma Cheryl arrived, so if you ask the girls what we ate on Thanksgiving Day they will tell you tacos and all the fixins' and that is correct.

We managed to see Santa before the December rush. Santa was outside, can't say that I have ever seen Santa outside the warmth of a mall before!
